BVNA’s first confirmed event kicks off at the Alton and North East Hampshire Show on Sunday 3rd July, where Louisa Baker RVN MBVNA and Claire Fraser RVN MBVNA (both BVNA Council members) plus other volunteers will be promoting pet care and educating the public on the day-to-day role of veterinary nurses and how they play such a valuable and huge part in veterinary care.
The show which dates back to the 18oo’s is held at the Froyle Park Showground, opens at 08.30am and will welcome approximately 30,000 visitors. All aspects of the agricultural community will be covered including a large number of activities ranging from dog and livestock classes to entertainment from the Harbour Pipes and Drums to a Birds of Prey Display.

ROUNDHAY PARK, LEEDS | SATURDAY 23RD JULY 2011
On Saturday 23rd July 2011 the Leeds team of Registered Veterinary Nurses will once again be out in force celebrating National VN Week at Roundhay Park, led by Amy Martin RVN MBVNA of Holly House Vets.
Located next to the Riverside Café, between 10am and 4pm the team will be performing health checks in the park and answering pet owners’ questions about their animals and the role of the veterinary nurse.
We hope that the weather stays with us and the crowds come out to visit!

Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, Barleylands promises a spectacular fun-packed day out for all the family. What was once an Essex farming family’s informal gathering of half a dozen steam engines is now the largest event of its type in the South East, with 31,500 visitors in 2010. The show, with an emphasis on agricultural history and rural crafts, offers something for everyone.
